What is wifi 7 ?

Wi-Fi 7, also known as IEEE 802.11be, is the upcoming standard for wireless networking, building on the capabilities of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). It promises several improvements and new features, including:

1. **Higher Speeds**: Wi-Fi 7 aims to deliver speeds up to 30 Gbps, significantly faster than Wi-Fi 6.

2. **Lower Latency**: Enhanced performance for applications requiring low latency, such as gaming and augmented reality.

3. **Better Efficiency**: Improved spectrum efficiency through techniques like multi-band/multi-channel aggregation and utilization.

4. **Wider Channels**: Support for channels up to 320 MHz wide, compared to 160 MHz in Wi-Fi 6.

5. **Enhanced MIMO**: More efficient Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) with up to 16 spatial streams.

6. **Improved Multi-Link Operation (MLO)**: The ability to use multiple links across different frequency bands simultaneously for better reliability and performance.

Wi-Fi 7 is still in development, and its final specifications and widespread adoption are expected in the coming years.
