WHO south-east Asia region had 2.4 millions new cases of cancer in 2022, including 56000 children, and 1.5 millions deaths.
Theme for World Cancer Day 2025
Each year, World Cancer Day follows a specific theme to highlight key issues. The theme for 2022-2024 was “Close the Care Gap”emphasising the need to reduce disparities in cancer care worldwide. The theme for 2025 has not been officially announced yet.
